Pre-K Program

Introduction to All Saints Catholic School’s Pre-K Program

At All Saints Catholic School in Sierra Vista, Arizona, the Early Childhood Program provides young learners with a strong foundation for success in kindergarten and beyond in a nurturing, faith-centered environment. Designed for children ages 3 and 4, the program follows a developmentally appropriate curriculum that supports academic readiness while encouraging curiosity, creativity, and social growth. Students build early literacy and math skills while also developing fine and gross motor abilities, independence, and confidence through hands-on learning experiences and structured daily routines.

Rooted in Catholic values, the program promotes kindness, respect, and compassion in everyday learning. However, being Catholic is not a requirement – families of all faiths are welcome, creating an inclusive and supportive school community.

Our Curriculum: Opening the World of Learning (OWL)

Our Preschool and Pre-Kindergarten program follows the Opening the World of Learning (OWL) curriculum, a comprehensive early childhood program designed to prepare children for kindergarten success. OWL is research-based and developmentally appropriate, focusing on building strong foundations in language, literacy, mathematics, science, social studies, and social-emotional development.

Through theme-based units and engaging, hands-on activities, students develop vocabulary, early reading skills, number sense, problem-solving abilities, and critical thinking skills. The curriculum encourages exploration, creativity, and meaningful conversations while providing structured lessons that support academic growth. OWL also incorporates ongoing assessment to ensure each child is progressing and receiving the support they need.

By combining purposeful play with intentional instruction, the OWL curriculum helps children grow into confident, capable learners who are ready for kindergarten.
