Volunteer at All Saints Catholic School
All Saints Catholic School deeply values the involvement of parents and guardians in the life of the school and actively encourages volunteer participation in classrooms, school events, field trips, and community celebrations. Volunteer engagement strengthens the partnership between home and school, enriches student learning experiences, and fosters a vibrant Catholic community centered on faith, service, and collaboration.
At the same time, the school maintains a fundamental obligation to ensure the safety, dignity, and well-being of all students entrusted to its care. In accordance with diocesan policy and best practices for the protection of minors, all volunteer services involving student contact require the comprehensive safeguarding process, including a formal application, background screening, Safe Environment training, and fingerprint clearance. These requirements are not discretionary and are implemented to uphold a secure and trustworthy educational environment consistent with both civil expectations and the Catholic mission of the school.
All parents or guardians who wish to serve as volunteers at All Saints Catholic School, Sierra Vista, AZ must complete the official Diocese of Tucson volunteer application process
Volunteer Clearance Process
Safe Environment Online Training
After your volunteer application is submitted, reviewed, and references are verified, you will receive an email from the Diocese of Tucson with instructions on how to register for the Safe Environment Online Training.
Note: This is not the official background check. The final background check is completed after the Safe Environment Online course has been completed.
Upon successful completion of the Safe Environment Program Online Training, volunteers should be advised that the system may not immediately reflect a “completed” status for the course. This is a normal and expected part of the processing workflow and does not indicate an error or deficiency in completion
Following submission of the required training modules, the volunteer may receive an on-screen notification indicating that “your background check details have been submitted.” This reflects that the volunteer’s information has been forwarded to the designated background screening provider for processing.
The Safe Environment training will remain in a pending status until the background check process has been fully completed and verified by the authorized provider. Once clearance has been finalized, the training record will automatically update to “completed” within the system.
Fingerprints
Volunteers must submit fingerprints as part of the clearance process. Ink-based fingerprint cards are no longer accepted.
Once the training and background screening are approved, the Volunteer Coordinator will email fingerprinting instructions. All fingerprint submissions are completed electronically through a live-scan digital fingerprinting system. Volunteers will receive detailed registration instructions for the Arizona Department of Public Safety (DPS) fingerprint clearance process and guidance for scheduling an appointment through the authorized third-party vendor, Fieldprint. Through Fieldprint, volunteers may choose an authorized fingerprinting location close to their home address to complete the digital fingerprinting process.
Please note that both the Arizona DPS registration and Fieldprint fingerprinting process require payment of a small processing fee. All fingerprinting and registration costs are the responsibility of the volunteer and are not reimbursed by the school or Diocese.
Final Clearance
Upon completion of the fingerprinting process, volunteers are required to notify the school that their fingerprints have been successfully submitted. Once all clearance requirements have been verified, the school will notify the volunteer of their final approval status and eligibility to serve in volunteer roles involving contact with students.
